Manager - Infection Control

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Manager - Infection Control to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the infection prevention and control program consistent with the standards of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and The Joint Commission. You will be a proactive leader in the development, implementation, and evaluation of infection control policies, procedures, and practices, while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.The ideal Manager - Infection Control candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field, and have at least five (5) years of experience in infection prevention and control in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities of the Manager - Infection Control:

1. Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control policies, procedures, and practices.
2. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
3. Lead and manage the infection prevention and control program consistent with the standards of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and The Joint Commission.
4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of infection control activities.
5. Provide education and training to staff on infection control principles and practices.
6. Participate in interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality patient care.
7. Develop and implement systems to identify and track infectious disease activity.
8. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
