Manager - Cytology Laboratory

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Manager to join our Cytology Laboratory team. The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly organized, detail-oriented leader with a passion for building and leading efficient cytology laboratory operations. The Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the laboratory, as well as leading laboratory team members in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate workflows. In addition to strong organizational skills and technical knowledge, successful candidates will possess excellent communication and problem solving skills. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience and a certification in cytology is preferred. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate workflows in the cytology laboratory.
2. Lead and manage laboratory team members.
3. Monitor and evaluate laboratory operations.
4. Demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills.
5. Ensure laboratory compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Maintain up-to-date records and documentation.
7. Train and mentor team members.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
9. Oversee budgeting and financial management of laboratory operations.
10. Collaborate with other departments and laboratories to ensure successful operations.
