Responsibilities of a Lab Assistant Specialist at Moffitt Cancer Center include:

• Working with laboratory personnel to carry out laboratory procedures in a safe and accurate manner. • Maintaining and ensuring the highest standards of safety and accuracy in all laboratory procedures. • Developing and updating laboratory protocols and procedures. • Collaborating with laboratory personnel to ensure optimal performance of laboratory tests. • Assisting with the processing of specimens and data entry into laboratory databases. • Troubleshooting and resolving any laboratory issues that arise. • Preparing laboratory reagents and materials for use in laboratory testing. • Maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies. • Ensuring all laboratory records are accurate and up-to-date. • Performing quality control checks on laboratory equipment. • Providing support to other laboratory personnel as needed.
