Lab Assistant

At Moffitt Cancer Center, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lab Assistant. This is a great opportunity for a professional with solid laboratory experience and a passion for cancer research. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who is capable of multitasking and working as part of a team. The Lab Assistant role requires a strong technical background and excellent laboratory skills. To be successful in this position, you must be able to work independently, follow instructions precisely, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills. You must also have a strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and be able to adhere to them. We are seeking a candidate with a scientific degree or equivalent laboratory experience who is highly motivated and eager to help further Moffitt Cancer Center's mission to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer. Responsibilities:

• Maintain laboratory equipment and materials and ensure they are properly functioning
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous materials
• Execute laboratory experiments and record data accurately
• Analyze data and report results to the team
• Assist with research projects and other laboratory-related activities
• Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
• Troubleshoot and identify solutions to technical issues
• Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations
