
Hematopathologist
Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Hematopathologist to join our team. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive hematopathology services, including interpretation of specimens, integration of clinical data, and reporting of diagnostic results. The ideal candidate will have the knowledge, experience, and skills necessary to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution, board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) from the American Board of Pathology, and sub-specialty certification in Hematopathology from the American Board of Pathology. Additionally, applicants must have completed a formal fellowship training program in hematopathology, have experience in a clinical hematopathology laboratory, and have a current license to practice medicine in the state of Florida. The Hematopathologist at Moffitt Cancer Center will play an important role in providing accurate and timely diagnoses to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Interpreting hematopathology specimens and integrating clinical data to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Maintaining current knowledge of hematopathology best practices and techniques.
- Communicating pathology diagnoses and results to other healthcare providers.
- Ensuring laboratory compliance with accreditation standards and other applicable regulations.
- Participating in and/or leading Hematopathology research projects.
- Collaborating with other physicians and healthcare professionals to develop strategies for patient care.
- Developing and/or revising policies and procedures for the hematopathology laboratory.
- Supervising and training pathology residents and fellows.
- Providing guidance and support to other members of the hematopathology team.
- Maintaining a current license to practice medicine in the state of Florida.
