Job Description

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Faculty Medical Physicist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, expert knowledge, and technical support for radiation oncology physics services. The ideal candidate should have a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medical Physics or a related field, as well as a strong understanding of the principles and practices of radiation oncology. If you are passionate about providing quality radiation therapy treatments and have the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for radiation oncology physics services.
  2. Provide expert guidance and technical support for all radiation oncology activities.
  3. Monitor and evaluate radiation safety protocols.
  4. Train and supervise radiation oncology staff.
  5. Design and evaluate treatment planning systems.
  6. Evaluate and analyze treatment plans to ensure accuracy.
  7. Monitor and maintain radiation oncology equipment.
  8. Document and report all radiation oncology activities.
  9. Develop and implement quality assurance programs.
  10. Participate in research projects related to radiation oncology.

Job Qualifications
  • Phd. In Medical Physics

  • Extensive Experience In Clinical Radiation Therapy Physics

  • Clinical Experience With Advanced Radiation Therapy Modalities

  • Experience In Clinical Research Protocols
