Cyber Security Engineer

Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for an experienced and dedicated Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. We are looking for someone with the necessary technical skills and knowledge to secure our infrastructure, detect and respond to threats, and develop and implement security policies. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who is well-versed in security best practices and has a passion for protecting our organization's data and systems.The successful candidate should have a strong background in information security, experience in risk management, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should have knowledge of security protocols, firewalls, encryption methods, and security software. They should also have the ability to identify and analyze security threats and vulnerabilities, and have an understanding of compliance regulations. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, have a positive attitude, and be eager to learn and grow.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls.
2. Monitor and analyze security threats, vulnerabilities, and system performance.
3. Implement security solutions, including firewalls, encryption methods, and security software.
4. Detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents.
5. Identify and mitigate security risks.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security best practices and regulations.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to other departments.
8. Produce detailed reports on security issues.
9. Stay current with emerging technologies and security trends.
10. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data security.
