Certified Medical Assistant

Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Assist clinicians and physicians with patient care, including preparing patients for procedures, taking vital signs, and providing patient education
• Obtain patient histories and perform initial assessments
• Perform basic lab tests and other clinical tasks as directed
• Administer medications and injections
• Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA requirements
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
• Ensure patient safety and comfort
• Ensure that all medical equipment is properly maintained
• Answer phones and provide patient information
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
