Job Description

Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for a highly motivated, experienced individual to fill the role of Associate Chief Medical Information Officer. This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of clinical information systems, ensuring high-quality patient care in a rapidly changing technical environment.The ideal candidate should be an inspired problem solver with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of clinical informatics, medical informatics, and health information technology. The role requires skills in project management, data analysis, and financial management, as well as an understanding of health care delivery and population health.The Associate Chief Medical Information Officer will be a critical part of the organization, working collaboratively with executive leaders, clinical and non-clinical IT staff, and healthcare providers to ensure that the electronic health record (EHR) is utilized to its fullest potential and that patient safety is maximized.We look forward to hearing from those who possess the following qualifications:• MD, DO, or other applicable clinical degree and experience in clinical informatics• 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics, medical informatics, or health information technology• Ability to work collaboratively with executive leaders, clinical and non-clinical IT staff, and healthcare providers• Demonstrated project management and data analysis skills• Strong understanding of health care delivery and population health• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills• Demonstrated ability to meet short and long-term objectivesIf you are a passionate and experienced leader who is looking for an opportunity to use your skills to make a positive impact on patient care, we would love to hear from you!
