Applied Research Scientist

Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for an Applied Research Scientist to join our research team. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about cancer research and has the skills and experience necessary to help us further our mission of improving the prevention and treatment of cancer. This role requires a highly analytical individual with strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.The successful candidate should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as biological sciences, biochemistry, or molecular biology, as well as several years of experience working in a research laboratory. The ideal candidate should also have experience using statistical software programs, such as SAS or SPSS, and be familiar with the principles of research design and data analysis. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain research protocols and processes in accordance with scientific standards and safety regulations.
2. Collect and analyze data using statistical software such as SAS or SPSS.
3. Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and interpret results.
4. Prepare and present research findings in reports, publications, and presentations.
5. Ensure accuracy and quality of data collected and analyzed.
6. Maintain detailed records of research activities and results.
7. Liaise with other departments and research teams to ensure successful collaboration.
8. Keep up to date with advances in cancer research.
9. Develop and implement strategies to promote best research practices.
10. Monitor progress and evaluate research outcomes.
