Anesthesia Technician

Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for an Anesthesia Technician to join our team and provide essential support to our anesthesia department. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with extensive knowledge of anesthesia supplies and equipment. The Anesthesia Technician will be expected to work collaboratively with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure smooth, safe, and effective delivery of anesthesia services.We are looking for candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in an anesthesia technician role, preferably in an academic or hospital setting. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and certification in the field of anesthesia technology is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a dedication to providing quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure safe and effective delivery of anesthesia services to patients.
2. Maintain anesthesia supplies and equipment in accordance with hospital standards.
3. Collaborate with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of anesthesia services.
4. Monitor patients under anesthesia and report any changes in their condition to the anesthesiologist.
5. Prepare and administer medication as directed by anesthesiologist.
6. Assist in preparation for surgical procedures.
7. Provide patient education regarding anesthesia and recovery.
8. Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
9. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and standards of practice.
10. Maintain patient records and documentation.
