Job Description

At Miriam Hospital, we are looking for a detail-oriented Path Sample Processing Clerk to join our team and ensure that our pathology samples are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of laboratory techniques and an ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and safety. Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe and sanitary work area in accordance with hospital standards.
Receive and process pathology samples in a timely manner.
Document the results of sample processing in the database.
Ensure accurate and timely input of data into the database.
Monitor inventory levels of lab supplies and order additional supplies as needed.
Monitor quality control protocols and take corrective action as needed.
Follow all safety protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
Keep up to date with current laboratory techniques and protocols.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to sample processing.
Assist with research projects and other duties as assigned.
