
Nursing Assistant - Phlebotomy
At Miriam Hospital, we are looking for a compassionate and reliable Nursing Assistant to join our team and provide phlebotomy services. The ideal candidate should have a passion for patient care and be able to demonstrate technical expertise in performing lab draws. We are seeking a professional with a friendly disposition and the ability to work well with a variety of healthcare professionals.The successful applicant must be a Certified Nursing Assistant with a valid license in the state of Rhode Island. Furthermore, they must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Previous experience in phlebotomy is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
-Provide compassionate patient care while performing lab draws -Maintain a friendly disposition and work well with a variety of healthcare professionals -Ensure that all lab draws are performed with technical expertise and accuracy -Verify patient information and verify proper collection techniques -Maintain a safe and clean working environment -Follow all hospital policies and procedures -Adhere to state regulations and maintain current licensed certification -Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare staff -Multi-task in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment -Maintain current knowledge of phlebotomy best practices and techniques
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
High School Diploma/Ged
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) License
Previous Experience As A Nursing Assistant
Knowledge Of Basic Medical Terminology
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team
