
Central Sterile Technician
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Central Sterile Technician to join the team at Miriam Hospital. As a Central Sterile Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and sterilization of medical equipment and supplies in our hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, an attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.The successful candidate must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of experience in a central sterile processing area. An Associate degree in a related field is preferred. You must also have certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM), be CPR certified, and remain compliant with all OSHA and state requirements.If you have a passion for helping others and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies are properly sterilized and maintained according to established protocols.
- Perform daily quality control tests to ensure proper sterilization.
- Monitor, clean, and repair medical equipment as needed.
- Receive and stock incoming supplies and equipment.
- Ensure that all OSHA and state requirements are met.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols in the processing and sterilization of supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization and maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure all necessary medical supplies are available for use.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
