Job Description

At MetLife, we are looking for an experienced Underwriter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have the qualifications to evaluate risks and determine whether to accept or deny coverage for clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our sales and customer service teams to create the best customer experience possible.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 3 years experience in underwriting, a thorough understanding of insurance policies, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You should also be comfortable working independently and making decisions based on risk analysis. If you have a proven record of success in underwriting and a passion for customer satisfaction, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and evaluate insurance policies for clients.
  2. Make decisions based on risk analysis.
  3. Work closely with sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  4. Maintain accurate records of decisions and risk analysis.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to reduce risk.
  6. Monitor market trends and adjust underwriting practices accordingly.
  7. Respond to customer inquiries and questions.
  8. Provide guidance to sales and customer service teams.
  9. Stay up to date on industry regulations and changes.
  10. Collaborate with other departments as needed.
