We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our legal team as the Senior Vice President and Chief Counsel of Litigation. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing all litigation matters for the company and providing strategic legal counsel to our business partners.   • Oversee and manage all litigation matters for the company, including developing and implementing litigation strategies, managing outside counsel, and monitoring case outcomes.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to business partners on potential litigation risks and advise on best practices to mitigate such risks.
  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends in order to provide proactive and effective legal guidance to the company.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, to develop and implement policies and procedures related to litigation management.
  • Lead and mentor a team of attorneys and legal professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with outside counsel, ensuring the company receives high-quality legal representation at a reasonable cost.
  • Manage the company's budget for litigation-related expenses and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Represent the company in court proceedings and other legal forums, including depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Communicate regularly with senior leadership on the status of ongoing litigation, providing updates and recommendations as needed.
  • Uphold the company's ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the company on potential mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions, conducting due diligence and advising on potential legal risks.

Job Qualifications
  • A Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School And Admission To The Bar In At Least One State.

  • Minimum Of 15 Years Of Experience In Litigation, Preferably In A Large Corporate Setting.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Leading A Team Of Litigators.

  • Strong Understanding Of The Insurance Industry, Including Regulatory Compliance And Risk Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Senior Executives, Outside Counsel, And Other Stakeholders.
