  1. Process and manage long term disability claims from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
  2. Conduct thorough investigations and gather necessary information to make informed and fair claims decisions.
  3. Review and analyze medical records, policy provisions, and other relevant documents to determine eligibility for benefits.
  4. Communicate with claimants, medical providers, and other stakeholders to gather and exchange information regarding claims.
  5. Provide excellent customer service to claimants by responding promptly and empathetically to their inquiries and concerns.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies, procedures, and industry regulations related to long term disability claims.
  7. Collaborate with internal and external partners, such as legal counsel and medical professionals, to facilitate claims processing and resolve complex issues.
  8. Identify and escalate potential fraud, abuse, or other questionable activities related to claims.
  9. Monitor and manage claim reserves, ensuring accuracy and appropriate financial management.
  10. Mentor and train junior team members, providing guidance and support in claims handling and adherence to company standards.
  11. Participate in departmental and company-wide initiatives and projects to improve processes and enhance customer experience.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and compliance standards in all interactions and activities.
  13. Keep detailed and organized records of all claims and related activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Business Administration, Insurance, Or Finance.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Claims Management, Preferably In Long-Term Disability Claims.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Insurance Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Clients And Colleagues.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Complex Disability Claims And Making Sound Decisions Based On Medical And Legal Documentation.
