  1. Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the business teams and clients regarding commercial real estate matters.
  2. Keep abreast of industry trends, laws, and regulations related to commercial real estate and apply this knowledge to support the company's goals and objectives.
  3. Serve as a leader and mentor within the legal team, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  4. Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial real estate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  5. Conduct legal research and analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  6. Represent MetLife in legal proceedings related to commercial real estate, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk management, and operations, to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to managing legal matters.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to understand business needs and provide effective legal support.
  9. Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on legal issues related to commercial real estate.
  10. Proactively identify and address potential legal issues and risks, and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  11. Collaborate with external legal counsel and manage their work to ensure cost-effective and timely resolution of legal matters.
  12. Participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs to promote compliance with legal requirements and mitigate risk.
  13. Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
  15. Stay current with industry best practices and maintain a high level of professional expertise by attending training, seminars, and other educational opportunities.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Commercial Real Estate Law: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience Practicing Commercial Real Estate Law With A Focus On Large-Scale Transactions, Such As Acquisitions, Dispositions, Financing, And Leasing.
