Job Description

MetLife is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Retirement Plan Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our clients and ensuring that their retirement plans are maintained in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in the retirement plan industry. The Retirement Plan Specialist must have a working knowledge of plan administration, regulatory requirements, and financial services. Additionally, the successful candidate must have a strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent customer service to clients and ensure retirement plan compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Maintain accurate records of retirement plans and ensure that all relevant procedures are followed.
  3. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any problems or complaints.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to optimize retirement plan performance.
  5. Monitor retirement plan performance and make changes or adjustments as needed.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and third-party vendors.
  7. Analyze financial information and develop reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  8. Prepare and present retirement plan reports to clients and other stakeholders.
  9. Participate in industry events and conferences to stay abreast of changes in the retirement plan industry.
  10. Provide training and support to colleagues and other team members.
