
Procurement Specialist
At MetLife, we’re looking for a driven, organized, and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. This person will be responsible for finding and negotiating with vendors to purchase materials and services for the company. The ideal candidate is a sourcing expert with an eye for getting the most value for our money.To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in procurement and related areas, with a proven track record of successfully negotiating prices and contracts. You must also be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams and external vendors. A strong sense of integrity and a customer-centric attitude are essential. The Procurement Specialist at MetLife will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently while managing multiple tasks. Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate vendors to determine the best value for the company's money.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams and external vendors.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all contracts and purchases.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Develop and implement strategies for streamlining procurement processes.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and develop plans for realizing those savings.
- Analyze market trends and develop sourcing strategies accordingly.
- Prepare and present reports to management on procurement activities.
