At MetLife, we’re looking for a driven, organized, and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. This person will be responsible for finding and negotiating with vendors to purchase materials and services for the company. The ideal candidate is a sourcing expert with an eye for getting the most value for our money.To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in procurement and related areas, with a proven track record of successfully negotiating prices and contracts. You must also be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams and external vendors. A strong sense of integrity and a customer-centric attitude are essential. The Procurement Specialist at MetLife will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently while managing multiple tasks. Responsibilities:

  1. Source and evaluate vendors to determine the best value for the company's money.
  2. Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors.
  3. Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams and external vendors.
  4. Maintain up-to-date records of all contracts and purchases.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  6. Monitor supplier performance and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  7. Develop and implement strategies for streamlining procurement processes.
  8. Identify cost-saving opportunities and develop plans for realizing those savings.
  9. Analyze market trends and develop sourcing strategies accordingly.
  10. Prepare and present reports to management on procurement activities.
