MetLife is looking for an experienced and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key contributor to our Procurement team, you will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. To be successful in this role, you should have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality customer service. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Additionally, you should have at least three years’ experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as experience with ERP systems, is also expected. Responsibilities: -Develop and implement procurement plans to ensure that goods and services are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner. -Analyze pricing, supplier selection, and other procurement metrics to ensure maximum value. -Manage and monitor the performance of existing and new suppliers. -Negotiate contracts and evaluate supplier performance. -Maintain records of all purchase orders and contracts. -Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. -Ensure high-quality customer service by responding to inquiries in a timely manner. -Train and mentor junior members of the Procurement team. -Keep abreast of industry trends and new technologies. -Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.
