Job Description

MetLife is looking for a talented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to maintain relationships with vendors, analyze and negotiate contracts, and provide overall support to the procurement department.To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in procurement or a related field. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to work within tight deadlines, and have a thorough understanding of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.If you have a passion for procurement and are looking to join a team of professionals dedicated to making the most of MetLife’s resources, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient procurement of goods and services.
  2. Analyze and negotiate contracts to ensure the most advantageous terms for MetLife.
  3. Generate purchase orders and other documentation as required.
  4. Develop and maintain a database of vendors and track all purchases and payments.
  5. Monitor and analyze market trends and prices to ensure the procurement of goods and services at the most advantageous prices.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the timely and effective procurement of goods and services.
  7. Stay up-to-date on the latest procurement regulations and procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  8. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance.
  9. Identify areas for improvement within the procurement process and develop strategies to increase efficiency.
  10. Ensure all purchasing activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
