
Long Term Disability Claims Specialist
MetLife is looking for an experienced and motivated Long Term Disability Claims Specialist to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and has a strong attention to detail. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the processing of long term disability claims, ensuring all claims are processed in accordance with company policy and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the long term disability claims field and a working knowledge of all relevant regulations.You must be a strong team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently and take initiative to ensure the timely and accurate processing of claims is also essential. Responsibilities:
- Process long term disability claims in accordance with company policy and relevant regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely and accurate processing of claims.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including insurance carriers and other claim-related organizations.
- Monitor and track claim processing activities to ensure effective and efficient resolution.
- Provide timely updates to customers on the status of their claim and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist customers with the filing of claims and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Analyze claim data to identify potential trends and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and best practices are maintained.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and present complex claims data in a clear and concise manner.
