Job Description

MetLife is in search of a Claims Processor to join our team. We are looking for an individual with a passion for customer service and problem solving that has the necessary qualifications to efficiently process claims for our customers. As a Claims Processor, you will be an integral part of our claims team and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and customer service.Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with customer service and/or an insurance-related field, strong communication skills, and an ability to work independently. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience using a claims processing system is a plus. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a portfolio of claims with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and customer service.
  2. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and provide timely resolution of customer inquiries.
  3. Ensure all claims are processed according to established guidelines and procedures.
  4. Monitor and report on claim activity to management.
  5. Document all actions taken on claims in the system.
  6. Maintain accurate and organized records of all claim information.
  7. Follow established protocols for dispute resolution and appeals.
  8. Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, management, and customers.
  9. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and claims processing system.
  10. Assist in training and mentoring new claims processors.
