We are searching for an experienced and detail-oriented Audit Committee Governance and Reporting Lead to join our team and help us meet this goal.As a key member of the MetLife team, the Audit Committee Governance and Reporting Lead will be responsible for leading and developing governance and reporting processes related to the Audit Committee. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual, who is able to manage multiple tasks and coordinate efficiently with various departments and teams.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in a related field, preferably in a publicly-traded company. They should also be able to demonstrate a strong background in accounting and finance, with a thorough understanding of auditing and internal control procedures. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people, and the capacity to handle multiple assignments and tight deadlines.If you have a passion for governance and reporting and have the skills necessary to succeed in this role, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop governance and reporting processes related to the Audit Committee.
- Manage multiple tasks and coordinate efficiently with various departments and teams.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Audit Committee’s governance and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and present reports to the Audit Committee.
- Communicate results and recommendations to the Audit Committee.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in audit committee governance and reporting.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to audit committee governance and reporting.
- Provide ongoing guidance and training to ensure compliance with audit committee governance and reporting processes.
