Job Description

Attention all experienced Vascular Sonographers! Mercy is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Vascular Sonographer.   1. Conduct Vascular Sonography: Perform accurate and comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations using advanced technology and techniques to assist in the diagnosis and management of vascular diseases.
  2. Monitor and document patient progress: Record and maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images, measurements, and other pertinent information to assist with diagnosis and treatment plans.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare team: Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  4. Maintain equipment and supplies: Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly maintained, calibrated, and stocked to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
  5. Provide exceptional patient care: Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism while interacting with patients to ensure their comfort and satisfaction during procedures.
  6. Adhere to safety protocols: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
  7. Continuous learning: Keep up-to-date with advancements in vascular sonography techniques and technology to provide the highest level of care to patients.
  8. Teamwork: Collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  9. Maintain confidentiality: Respect and maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in all aspects of the job.
  10. Meet organizational standards: Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a high level of quality and compliance.

Job Qualifications
  • Accredited Sonography Program: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Completed An Accredited Sonography Program, With A Focus On Vascular Sonography. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Effectively.

  • Ardms Certification: Candidates Should Hold A Current Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) In Vascular Sonography. This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Expertise And Knowledge In The Field.

  • Experience In Vascular Sonography: Mercy Is Looking For Candidates With A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Vascular Sonography. This Experience Should Include Performing A Variety Of Vascular Exams, Including Carotid, Venous, And Arterial Studies.

  • Knowledge Of Equipment And Technology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Ultrasound Equipment And Technology Used In Vascular Sonography. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Transducers, Image Optimizing Techniques, And Vascular Imaging Protocols.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Vascular Sonographer At Mercy, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Required To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Collaborate With Other Team Members, And Provide Quality Patient Care.
