Ultrasound Technologist, PRN

1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging, in accordance with department protocols and physician orders.
2. Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, including proper positioning and use of appropriate equipment and techniques.
3. Review patient medical history and communicate any relevant information to the interpreting physician.
4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures performed, patient information, and any adverse reactions or complications.
5. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, including troubleshooting and performing necessary calibrations and maintenance.
6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment plans.
7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
8. Continuously monitor and evaluate image quality to ensure accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
9. Educate and communicate with patients and their families about procedures, answer any questions or concerns, and provide appropriate follow-up instructions.
10. Stay current with advancements and developments in ultrasound technology, techniques, and protocols through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
12. Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a positive and efficient patient experience.
13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking and ordering necessary supplies.
14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing department policies and procedures.
