- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of ultrasound images for proper diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, provide them with clear instructions, and answer any questions or concerns.
- Review patient medical history and relevant information to ensure proper procedure is performed.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, troubleshoot any technical issues, and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of ultrasound images.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Continuously update and improve technical skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures performed and patient information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to provide a positive and comfortable experience.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control, safety, and ethical standards.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments, as needed.
- Serve as a role model for compassionate and professional patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.
Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Clinical Ultrasound Practice.
Knowledge And Proficiency In Various Ultrasound Techniques And Equipment, Including Doppler, Abdominal, And Ob/Gyn.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients And Healthcare Team Members Effectively.
