- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for toddlers, following Mercy's curriculum and guidelines.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to learn and explore.
- Observe and assess the progress and development of each child, and communicate with parents or guardians regularly.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience for the children.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting kindness, empathy, and respect among the children.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development trainings to continuously improve teaching practices and stay updated on early childhood education research and trends.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents or concerns.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices, to ensure the well-being of the children.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents or guardians, addressing any questions or concerns in a timely manner.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for assistant teachers and teacher aides, providing guidance and support when needed.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and requirements for early childhood education.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times, respecting the privacy of children and their families.
Cpr And First Aid Certification.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With A Preference For A Bachelor's Degree In Early Childhood Education Or Related Field.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working With Toddlers In A Childcare Or Educational Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Developmentally Appropriate Practices For Young Children.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Parents, Colleagues, And Other Professionals.
