- Assist licensed therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients.
- Follow treatment plans and instructions provided by therapists.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to therapists.
- Help patients with exercises and activities as directed by therapists.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
- Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating therapy appointments.
- Keep accurate records of patient treatments and progress.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Therapy Aide - Rehab Must Possess A Minimum Of A High School Education Or Equivalent In Order To Understand And Follow Instructions And Procedures Related To Patient Care.
Previous Healthcare Experience: Mercy May Require A Therapy Aide - Rehab To Have Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Rehabilitation Center. This Experience Will Provide A Foundation Of Knowledge And Skills Necessary For The Job.
Basic Knowledge Of Therapy Techniques: A Therapy Aide - Rehab Must Have A Basic Understanding Of Rehabilitation Techniques And Modalities In Order To Assist Therapists In Carrying Out Treatment Plans For Patients.
Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Therapists, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial For A Therapy Aide - Rehab. This Includes Being Able To Listen Actively And Follow Instructions Accurately.
Physical Ability: The Job Of A Therapy Aide - Rehab Involves Physically Demanding Tasks, Such As Assisting Patients With Exercises And Transferring Them From One Location To Another. Therefore, Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift And Move Patients Safely.
