Surgical Technologist

Mercy is looking for a talented and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be a Certified Surgical Technologist, or currently enrolled in a surgical technologist program. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to patient care, and a passion for delivering quality healthcare. Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of the operating room and surgical instruments for surgical procedures.
2. Maintain a clean and sterile work environment in accordance with safety regulations.
3. Provide assistance to surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures.
4. Monitor patients during surgery and report any changes to the medical staff.
5. Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available for each procedure.
6. Maintain accurate records and reports of surgical procedures.
7. Respond promptly to requests for assistance from medical staff.
8. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
