
Surgical Technologist

- Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Sterilize and maintain surgical equipment and instruments.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures and provide necessary support.
- Prepare patients for surgery by positioning and draping.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning during surgery.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Prepare and maintain surgical dressings and supplies.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
- Prepare and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team, patients, and their families.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills in surgical technology.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
Certification In Surgical Technology: Candidates Must Hold A Valid Certification From An Accredited Surgical Technology Program.
Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures: A Thorough Understanding Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment Is Required, Including Sterile Technique, Infection Control, And Surgical Instrumentation.
Experience In A Clinical Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Surgical Center, Is Preferred.
Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records: Proficiency With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems Is Necessary For Maintaining Accurate Patient Records And Tracking Surgical Procedures.
Teamwork And Communication Skills: The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team And Communicate Clearly And Professionally With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential In This Role.
