
Supply Chain Technician, Materials Management

- Manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment for our facilities.
- Coordinate and place orders for supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory and orders.
- Monitor and track deliveries to ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing and maintain good relationships.
- Work closely with the Materials Management team to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with supply chain policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management strategies.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast supply needs and plan accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding supply chain issues and updates.
- Identify and troubleshoot any supply chain-related problems and offer solutions.
- Train and onboard new employees on supply chain processes and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling supplies and equipment.
Knowledge Of Supply Chain Management: A Supply Chain Technician At Mercy Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Supply Chain Principles, Including Inventory Management, Procurement, And Logistics.
Familiarity With Healthcare Regulations: Mercy Is A Healthcare Organization, So The Ideal Candidate Should Have Knowledge Of Industry Regulations, Such As Hipaa And Fda Guidelines, To Ensure Compliance In The Supply Chain.
Experience In Materials Management: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Materials Management Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role At Mercy. This Includes Experience In Inventory Control, Purchasing, And Vendor Management.
Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills: A Supply Chain Technician At Mercy Must Have Strong Organizational Skills To Manage Inventory And Communicate Effectively With Internal Departments, Suppliers, And Vendors.
Attention To Detail And Analytical Thinking: Strong Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills Are Crucial For A Successful Supply Chain Technician. This Role Requires Analyzing Data, Identifying Trends, And Making Informed Decisions To Improve Supply Chain Processes.
