  1. Manage and oversee all aspects of the volunteer program at Mercy, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  2. Develop and implement volunteer policies and procedures to ensure a positive and safe experience for volunteers and patients.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs and create volunteer opportunities that align with Mercy's mission.
  4. Act as a liaison between volunteers, staff, and patients to ensure clear communication and coordination.
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to volunteer coordinators and other staff involved in the volunteer program.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other potential sources of volunteers.
  7. Plan and coordinate volunteer recognition events and activities to show appreciation for volunteers' contributions.
  8. Monitor and track volunteer hours, activities, and impact to report to upper management and stakeholders.
  9. Stay up-to-date on best practices in volunteer management and implement new strategies to improve the volunteer program.
  10. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to volunteerism.
  11. Develop and manage the volunteer program budget, including identifying potential funding sources and writing grant proposals.
  12. Serve as a role model and mentor to volunteers, promoting a positive and inclusive culture of service and compassion.
  13. Continuously assess and evaluate the volunteer program's effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  14. Maintain accurate records and documentation of volunteer information and activities.
  15. Represent Mercy and the volunteer program in a professional and positive manner at community events and meetings.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Volunteer Management Or Related Field.

  • Experience In Program Development And Implementation.

  • Knowledge Of Volunteer Recruitment, Training, And Retention Strategies.
