Job Description

  1. Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Environmental Services department.
  2. Ensure that all hospital facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  3. Lead and manage a team of environmental services employees, providing guidance, training, and support.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  5. Develop and implement cleaning and sanitation protocols in accordance with industry standards and hospital policies.
  6. Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with established protocols and standards.
  7. Create and maintain schedules for environmental services staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
  8. Communicate with other departments and hospital leadership to address any environmental services-related issues or concerns.
  9. Train and educate staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control protocols.
  10. Manage and maintain department budget, including tracking expenses and making budget recommendations.
  11. Collaborate with other departments to identify and address any environmental services needs or concerns.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to environmental services.
  13. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among staff.
  14. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to department operations and performance.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by hospital leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Health And Safety, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Supervisory Experience In An Environmental Services Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Regulations And Guidelines Related To Environmental Services And Infection Control.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Communicate With Other Departments.

  • Ability To Multitask, Prioritize, And Problem-Solve In A Fast-Paced Environment While Maintaining A High Level Of Attention To Detail.
