- Ensure that all surgical instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained according to industry standards and hospital policies.

Certification In Sterile Processing: The Ideal Candidate For A Sterile Processing Instrument Lead Position At Mercy Should Hold A Valid Certification In Sterile Processing, Such As The Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Or Certified Sterile Processing And Distribution Technician (Cspdt) Credentials.
Extensive Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques: The Role Of A Sterile Processing Instrument Lead Involves Overseeing The Cleaning, Sterilization, And Maintenance Of Surgical Instruments And Equipment. Therefore, Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Sterilization Techniques, Including Steam, Ethylene Oxide, And Hydrogen Peroxide Plasma.
