
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Mercy is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and provide comprehensive speech-language services to our patients. As an SLP, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing communication and swallowing disorders. This will include providing individual and small group therapy, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing patient and family education. It is essential that you have a personal and patient-focused approach to this role, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality care.The ideal candidate for this role will possess a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders and have a current license to practice in the state of Mercy. Additionally, they should have experience working with a variety of communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders. The successful candidate will also have strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented approach. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, treat, and manage communication and swallowing disorders in patients
- Provide individual and small group therapy
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing disorders
- Maintain a patient-focused and compassionate approach to care
- Utilize strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Work collaboratively with a team-oriented approach
- Possess a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Have a current license to practice in the state of Mercy
- Have experience working with a variety of communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders
