
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Mercy is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who is passionate about helping people improve their communication skills and has the drive to help them reach their highest potential. The ideal SLP candidate will possess the required qualifications, have a positive attitude, and a people-oriented mindset. Requirements for this position include a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology, a valid license in speech-language pathology, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field. A knowledge of current trends and best practices in the field is also preferred. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized speech-language treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
- Assess and diagnose speech-language disorders in individuals of all ages.
- Make recommendations for modifications and/or accommodations to the patient’s environment to improve communication skills.
- Document progress and update treatment plans as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other health care professionals (e.g., physicians, psychologists, teachers, and audiologists) to ensure seamless and coordinated care.
- Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Maintain professional licensure and certification as required.
- Monitor patient progress and consult with families/caregivers to ensure the best possible outcome.
