Knowledge Of Coding Systems And Guidelines: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Coding Systems, Such As Cpt, Icd-10, And Hcpcs, As Well As The Guidelines For Accurate And Ethical Coding Practices.
Experience In Specialty Coding: Mercy Is Looking For A Candidate With Experience In Coding For Specialty Clinics, Such As Cardiology, Orthopedics, Or Oncology. This Includes Knowledge Of Specific Coding Requirements And Procedures For These Specialties.
Certification In Medical Coding: The Candidate Should Hold A Certification In Medical Coding, Such As Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs), To Demonstrate Their Knowledge And Proficiency In Coding.
