  1. Provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns in the Maternal Child Health unit.
  2. Participate in Mercy's September Mother Baby RN Residency program to develop skills and knowledge in this specialty area.
  3. Maintain a high level of clinical competency and adhere to evidence-based practices.
  4. Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  5. Ensure compassionate care is delivered to all patients, with a focus on promoting their health and well-being.
  6. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  7. Use critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  8. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
  9. Document all patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote patient safety.
  11. Serve as a patient advocate and provide education to patients and families regarding their care plan.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and provide comprehensive care to patients.
  13. Attend trainings and educational opportunities to stay current on best practices and advancements in Maternal Child Health.
  14. Uphold the mission and values of the hospital and act as a positive representative of the organization.
  15. Foster a supportive and dynamic team environment by actively participating in team meetings and promoting teamwork.
  16. Display a commitment to personal and professional growth by seeking out opportunities for learning and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution

  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Missouri Or Eligibility For Licensure Through Endorsement

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Mother Baby Unit Or Related Experience In A Hospital Setting

  • Bls And Nrp Certification

  • Availability To Work 12-Hour Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays, As Needed By The Unit
