- Develop and implement patient safety protocols and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential safety hazards and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to promote and maintain a culture of safety within the organization.
- Provide training and education to staff on patient safety best practices.
- Investigate and report any incidents or near misses related to patient safety, and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Monitor and analyze patient safety data, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and advancements in patient safety and healthcare practices.
- Act as a resource and advisor to all departments and staff regarding patient safety issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards set by governing bodies.
- Lead or participate in patient safety committees and initiatives.
- Collaborate with other healthcare facilities and organizations to share best practices and enhance patient safety efforts.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies regarding patient safety matters.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all patient safety activities and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for quality improvement and assist in the implementation of solutions.
- Communicate regularly with leadership and provide updates on patient safety initiatives and progress.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Patient Safety, Nursing, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Patient Safety Role, Preferably In A Large Healthcare Organization.
Strong Knowledge Of Patient Safety Regulations And Best Practices, Including Joint Commission Standards.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With All Levels Of Healthcare Staff.
Prior Experience In Developing And Implementing Patient Safety Initiatives And Conducting Root Cause Analyses.
