  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the mission of Mercy.
  2. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, partners, and sponsors.
  3. Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events, including donor cultivation events, galas, and online campaigns.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop compelling messaging and materials to promote fundraising efforts.
  5. Research and identify new funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  6. Manage a portfolio of major donors and ensure timely and effective stewardship.
  7. Provide regular reports and updates on fundraising progress to the executive team and board of directors.
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with current donors, ensuring their continued support and engagement.
  9. Develop and oversee the budget for fundraising activities and ensure proper allocation of resources.
  10. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in fundraising and make recommendations for improvement and growth.
  11. Serve as a brand ambassador for Mercy, promoting the organization's mission and impact to potential donors and partners.
  12. Collaborate with program staff to identify funding needs and develop compelling proposals and grant applications.
  13. Supervise and mentor junior development staff, providing guidance and support in meeting fundraising goals.
  14. Represent Mercy at external events and conferences to expand the organization's network and visibility.
  15. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all donor interactions and contributions in the donor database.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Or Fundraising.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Development, Fundraising, Or Donor Relations.

  • Proven Track Record Of Securing Major Gifts And Cultivating Relationships With High-Level Donors.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Motivate Donors.

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Strategic Fundraising Plans And Managing A Team Of Development Professionals.
