- Ensure the security and integrity of the databases, including implementing and maintaining backup and recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any database issues or errors, including performance tuning and optimizing queries.
- Create and maintain documentation of database systems, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure smooth integration and functioning of databases with other systems and applications.
- Monitor database performance and capacity to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Develop and implement data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve database performance and functionality.
- Train and mentor junior database administrators on best practices and processes.
