  1. Provide specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care to patients with complex needs.
  2. Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients based on their specific conditions and needs.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their care plans.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, treatments, and progress.
  6. Educate patients and their families on wound and ostomy care, including proper techniques and prevention strategies.
  7. Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in wound and ostomy management.
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to wound and ostomy care.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  10. Provide emotional support and compassion to patients during their treatment.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Attend regular trainings and continuing education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  13. Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards in patient care.
  14. Maintain a professional demeanor and represent Mercy in a positive manner.
  15. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment

  • Certification In Wound Care And Ostomy (Cwocn) From An Accredited Organization

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Wound Care And Ostomy Management

  • Strong Understanding Of Wound Care Protocols And Best Practices

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Team Members.
