Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License: A Registered Nurse (Rn) License Is A Mandatory Requirement For Working In The Gi Lab At Mercy. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed The Necessary Education And Training To Provide Safe And Effective Care To Patients.

  • Gi Lab Experience: Mercy Is Looking For A Candidate With Previous Experience Working In A Gi Lab Setting. This Includes Familiarity With Equipment, Procedures, And Protocols Specific To Gi Procedures, Such As Colonoscopies And Endoscopies.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Necessary For A Rn Working In The Gi Lab. These Certifications Demonstrate The Candidate's Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For A Rn In The Gi Lab. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team, As Well As Document Patient Care Accurately.

  • Attention To Detail: Working In The Gi Lab Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail. The Rn Must Be Able To Accurately Monitor Patients' Vital Signs, Document Procedures, And Recognize Any Changes In A Patient's Condition. This Attention To Detail Is Crucial For Ensuring Patient Safety And Providing Quality Care.
