- Monitor and assess potential risks within the organization and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee the investigation and management of claims made against the organization, including coordination with legal counsel and insurance providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incidents and claims, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify and address potential risk areas and develop preventive measures.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential risk areas and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provide training and education to staff on risk management and claims handling procedures.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulations related to risk management and claims handling.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and insurance providers, negotiating settlements and managing policies.
- Maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as legal counsel and insurance providers, to ensure efficient and effective handling of claims.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to risk management and claims handling.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate risk management and claims data to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Quality Improvement team to identify and address areas for improvement and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to risk management and claims handling.
- Uphold and promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization in all aspects of the role.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Risk Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Risk Management Or Claims Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Risk Management And Claims.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Such As Legal, Clinical, And Financial Teams.
Proven Experience In Developing And Implementing Risk Management Policies, Procedures, And Training Programs.
