Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Respiratory Intern, PRN to join our team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospital setting and develop your skills as a respiratory therapist. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced respiratory therapists and medical team to provide top-notch care to our patients. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, eager to learn, and have a strong passion for helping others.   1. Assist in providing respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to patients as directed by the medical team.
  2. Work closely with respiratory therapists and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients.
  3. Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
  5. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, education sessions, and other learning opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  6. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, providing compassionate and professional customer service.
  8. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
  9. Participate in various hospital committees and projects to contribute to the overall success of the respiratory department.
  10. Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude in all aspects of the internship.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field.

  • Active Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).

  • Current And Valid State License To Practice As A Respiratory Therapist.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience As A Respiratory Therapist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
