
Registered Nurse - Dialysis

- Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, lab results, and overall health status during dialysis treatment.
- Administer medications and treatment as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on dialysis procedures, self-care techniques, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication administration.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure quality and continuity of care.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate and appropriate interventions.

Current Rn License: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Registered Nurse - Dialysis Position At Mercy Is A Valid And Current Rn License. This Ensures That The Nurse Has Met All The Necessary Educational And Licensing Requirements To Practice Nursing In The State.
Bls And Acls Certification: As A Dialysis Rn At Mercy, The Candidate Should Also Hold Current Certifications In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls). These Certifications Demonstrate The Nurse's Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.
Experience In Dialysis Nursing: Mercy May Require Candidates For Their Dialysis Rn Position To Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Dialysis Nursing. This Experience Shows That The Nurse Is Familiar With The Specialized Equipment, Procedures, And Patient Care Involved In Providing Dialysis Treatment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Successful Dialysis Rn At Mercy Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Team Setting.
Knowledge Of Dialysis Procedures And Protocols: Candidates For A Dialysis Rn Position At Mercy Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Dialysis Procedures And Protocols. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Types Of Dialysis, Medication Administration, Infection Control, And Patient Assessment. Additional Training And Education May Also Be Required In Specific Areas Such As Peritoneal Dialysis Or Home Hemodialysis.
