  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the healthcare facility.
  2. Coordinate and supervise the work of nursing and support staff.
  3. Ensure that all patient care services are delivered in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  4. Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance and support to nursing staff.
  5. Monitor patient care activities and ensure the delivery of high-quality and compassionate care.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Train and mentor new nursing staff to ensure they are knowledgeable and competent in their roles.
  9. Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to patient care or staff performance.
  10. Stay updated on current healthcare regulations, trends, and advancements and apply them to improve patient care.
  11. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to promote efficiency and quality of care.
  12. Participate in performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to nursing staff.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote staff satisfaction and retention.
  14. Serve as a role model for ethical and professional behavior.
  15. Act as a liaison between nursing staff, patients, and management to address any issues or concerns and ensure effective communication.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License: A Valid And Active Registered Nurse License Is A Fundamental Requirement For A Clinical Coordinator Position At Mercy. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Education And Training To Perform The Duties Of The Role.

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree: Most Clinical Coordinator Positions At Mercy Require A Bsn Degree, Which Demonstrates A Higher Level Of Education And Expertise In Nursing Practice. This Degree Also Prepares Nurses For Leadership And Management Roles.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience: A Clinical Coordinator Must Have A Solid Foundation Of Clinical Experience To Effectively Supervise And Coordinate The Care Of Patients. This Experience Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Oversee The Nursing Team And Ensure Quality Patient Care.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Clinical Coordinator, The Candidate Must Possess Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Effectively Lead And Direct The Nursing Team. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Support, And Make Critical Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For A Clinical Coordinator At Mercy. This Includes The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. The Candidate Must Also Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build And Maintain Positive Working Relationships With The Nursing Team.
