Job Description

  1. Provide specialized care to critically ill patients recovering from cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
  2. Assess patient's condition, develop and implement appropriate care plans.
  3. Monitor and document patient's vital signs and response to treatment.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
  6. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
  7. Utilize critical thinking skills to quickly identify and respond to changes in patient's condition.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  9. Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  10. Ensure patient safety and infection control measures are followed.
  11. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  12. Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients and their families.
  13. Act as a patient advocate and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  14. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during a challenging time.
  15. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in patient care.
  16. Maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certifications

  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Intensive Care Unit, With Preference For Experience In A Cardiothoracic Icu Setting

  • Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, With Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
